NVIDIA TurboCache Technology Adopted By Over 70 Partners Worldwide

Leading PC OEMs, System Builders and Add-In Card Partners to Offer GeForce 6200 GPUs with TurboCache Technology

LONDON — December 15th, 2004— NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), a worldwide leader in graphics and digital media processors, today announced a tidal wave of industry support for its recently announced NVIDIA® TurboCache™ technology. Many of the world’s leading PC OEMs, system builders and add-in card partners have announced plans to build systems and graphics cards utilising the new NVIDIA GeForce™ 6200 graphics processing unit (GPU) with TurboCache technology.

“The days of outdated graphics technology in value-priced systems has come to an end now that NVIDIA has shipped the first TurboCache-enabled GPUs to customers,” said Jeff Fisher, executive vice president of worldwide sales at NVIDIA. “GeForce 6200 with TurboCache redefines the price/performance equation in the value PC segment. For the first time, it is feasible for PC OEMs to offer the industry’s most advanced feature set, including support for Direct X 9.0 Shader Model 3.0 support, to their value segment customers.”

NVIDIA TurboCache technology is a new, patent pending hardware and software technology that enables a GPU to render directly to system memory leveraging the high transfer rate of PCI-Express, instead of using local memory on the graphics card. NVIDIA TurboCache technology lowers on-board memory requirements, enabling system builders to deliver a more feature-rich GPU and achieve graphics performance previously unattainable at value prices. The NVIDIA GeForce 6200 will be the first GPU to feature TurboCache technology.

GeForce 6200 GPUs with TurboCache technology are shipping to customers now and graphics cards are anticipated to be available from leading add-in card manufacturers and in systems from leading PC OEMs in January 2005.
