"If you have the money to build a ridiculously powerful gaming rig to be able to play all games in full glory, pick this God-card!"
Verdict: A GPU for the ultimate gaming PC
Rating: 5/5
— CHIP India, 05.2011
"Not only is it (GTX 590) faster than the HD 6990 in most games, it's the quietest, consumes lesser power and is backed up by better drivers, not to mention PhysX and CUDA support that's used in most games and applications.
The GTX 590 and the HD 6990 are two cards designed for the ultimate enthusiast, someone who lives on the cutting edge of technology and has very deep pockets of course. With the both the cards available in India and having tested both of them, we would pick the GTX 590 as an overall better package!"

"NVIDIA has covered more than lost ground thanks to its GTX 5xx series of cards which are (out) performing the HD 6xxx series cards… Based on performance, the NVIDIA GTX 590 edges past the HD 6990 in all our test games."
— Digit, 05.2011
"The ZOTAC GTX 590 blitzed through all the tests we threw at it without a hiccup. On an average, you can expect at least a 40-45 per cent performance jump compared to a stock GTX 580 and in some games even more."
— Tech2, 15.06.2011
"It is clear that the GTX590 pulls far ahead of single-GPU cards. The hardware acceleration this NVIDIA card provides to CUDA enabled applications and PhysX enabled games is a significant factor. The convenience of having two GPUs in one body, not to mention the relative power savings, make this card worth it for gamers who can afford it."
